Integrin beta-4 (Itgb4) Recombinant Protein | Itgb4 recombinant protein
Recombinant Rat Integrin beta-4 (Itgb4), partial
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
beta subunit of integrin alpha6/beta4 which is a cell surface receptor for laminin; involved in hemidesmosome formation [RGD, Feb 2006]
Uniprot Description
Integrin alpha-6/beta-4 is a receptor for laminin. It plays a critical structural role in the hemidesmosome of epithelial cells. Is required for the regulation of keratinocyte polarity and motility. ITGA6:ITGB4 binds to NRG1 (via EGF domain) and this binding is essential for NRG1-ERBB signaling. ITGA6:ITGB4 binds to IGF1 and this binding is essential for IGF1 signaling ().

It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Integrin beta-4 (Itgb4), Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
