NCBI Description

DhaM is phosphorylated by PTS proteins HPr and Protein I. [More information is available at EcoGene: EG12399]. The M subunit is homologous to certain components of PTS: to a domain of EI, to HPr, and to the AB domains of EII. [More information is available at EcoCyc: EG12399].

Uniprot Description

Protein deacetylase that removes acetyl groups on specific lysine residues in target proteins. Regulates transcription by catalyzing deacetylation of 'Lys-52' and 'Lys-62' of the transcriptional repressor RutR. Is also able to deacetylate NhoA and RluC in vitro. Targets a distinct set of substrates compared to CobB.

It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "PTS-dependent dihydroxyacetone kinase, phosphotransferase subunit dhaM (dhaM), Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
