NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
AFMB Structural Genomics target Number 123 (http://afmb.cnrs-mrs.fr/article171.html). [More information is available at EcoGene: EG13512]. The preliminary analysis of a crystal structure of the predicted protease YeaZ has been published . [More information is available at EcoCyc: G6991].
Uniprot Description
Required for the formation of a threonylcarbamoyl group on adenosine at position 37 (t6A37) in tRNAs that read codons beginning with adenine. Is probably involved in the transfer of the threonylcarbamoyl moiety of threonylcarbamoyl-AMP (TC-AMP) to the N6 group of A37, together with TsaD and TsaE. TsaB seems to play an indirect role in the t6A biosynthesis pathway, possibly in regulating the core enzymatic function of TsaD. In fact, can act as a protease that specifically degrades TsaD in vitro; therefore TsaB may post-translationally regulate cellular pools of TsaD via proteolytic degradation. Does not show sialoglycoprotease activity against glycophorin A.

It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Uncharacterized protein YeaZ (yeaZ), Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
