Related Product Information for YWHAB recombinant protein
YWHAB, also known as 14-3-3 protein beta/alpha, is 14-3-3 family plays a key regulatory role in signal transduction, checkpoint control, apoptotic and nutrient-sensing pathways. 14-3-3 proteins are highly conserved and ubiquitously expressed. There are at least seven isoforms, beta, gamma, epsilon, sigma, zeta, tau and eta that have been identified in mammals. The 14-3-3 beta, a subtype of the 14-3-3 proteins, was found in B Cells, brain and liver etc. This 14-3-3 beta has been shown to interact with RAF1 and CDC25 phosphatases, suggesting that it may play a role in linking mitogenic signaling and the cell cycle machinery. Recombinant human YWHAB, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E Coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a protein belonging to the 14-3-3 family of proteins, members of which mediate signal transduction by binding to phosphoserine-containing proteins. This highly conserved protein family is found in both plants and mammals. The encoded protein has been shown to interact with RAF1 and CDC25 phosphatases, suggesting that it may play a role in linking mitogenic signaling and the cell cycle machinery. Two transcript variants, which encode the same protein, have been identified for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

Adapter protein implicated in the regulation of a large spectrum of both general and specialized signaling pathways. Binds to a large number of partners, usually by recognition of a phosphoserine or phosphothreonine motif. Binding generally results in the modulation of the activity of the binding partner. Negative regulator of osteogenesis. Blocks the nuclear translocation of the phosphorylated form (by AKT1) of SRPK2 and antagonizes its stimulatory effect on cyclin D1 expression resulting in blockage of neuronal apoptosis elicited by SRPK2. Negative regulator of signaling cascades that mediate activation of MAP kinases via AKAP13.

Product Notes

The YWHAB ywhab (Catalog #AAA206640) is a Recombinant Protein produced from E Coli and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The tag for this protein is His-tag. AAA Biotech's YWHAB can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, SDS-PAGE. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the YWHAB ywhab for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: MGSSHHHHHH SSGLVPRGSH MGSHMTMDKS ELVQKAKLAE QAERYDDMAA AMKAVTEQGH ELSNEERNLL SVAYKNVVGA RRSSWRVISS IEQKTERNEK KQQMGKEYRE KIEAELQDIC NDVLELLDKY LIPNATQPES KVFYLKMKGD YFRYLSEVAS GDNKQTTVSN SQQAYQEAFE ISKKEMQPTH PIRLGLALNF SVFYYEILNS PEKACSLAKT AFDEAIAELD TLNEESYKDS TLIMQLLRDN LTLWTSENQG DEGDAGEGEN. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "YWHAB, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
