Bovine
Preparation and Storage
Prior to reconstitution store at 4 degree C. Following reconstitution store at -70 degree C. Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the protein. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
Shelf Life: 12 months from date of reconstitution.
Related Product Information for TNF ALPHA recombinant protein
Bovine Tumour Necrosis Factor alpha (TNF alpha) is produced by a range of cells, including macrophages, monocytes, T and B lymphocytes. TNF alpha is an important mediator of the bovine inflammatory response. MBS232226 has an ED50 in the range of 10-25 ng/ml, determined by measuring the cytolytic effect of recombinant bovine TNF alpha on murine WEHI-13VAR cells in the presence of Actinomycin D.

Uniprot Description

Cytokine that binds to TNFRSF1A/TNFR1 and TNFRSF1B/TNFBR. It is mainly secreted by macrophages and can induce cell death of certain tumor cell lines. It is potent pyrogen causing fever by direct action or by stimulation of interleukin-1 secretion and is implicated in the induction of cachexia, Under certain conditions it can stimulate cell proliferation and induce cell differentiation. The TNF intracellular domain (ICD) form induces IL12 production in dendritic cells.

Product Notes

The TNF ALPHA tnf (Catalog #AAA232226) is a Recombinant Protein and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's TNF ALPHA can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Functional Assays (FN). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the TNF ALPHA tnf for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "TNF ALPHA, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
