Related Product Information for TLR3 recombinant protein
TLR3, also known as toll-like receptor 3, is a member of the toll-like receptor family which plays a fundamental role in pathogen recognition and activation of innate immunity. It is innate immune receptors for sensing microbial molecules and damage-associated molecular patterns released from host cells. It recognizes dsRNA and activation of the receptor induces the activation of NF-kappaB and the production of type I interferons (IFNs). Its signaling activation is associated with ischemic preconditioning-induced protection against brain ischemia and attenuation of reactive astrogliosis. It is most abundantly expressed in placenta and pancreas, and is restricted to the dendritic subpopulation of the leukocytes. Recombinant human TLR3, fused to His-tag at C-terminus, was expressed in insect cell and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the Toll-like receptor (TLR) family which plays a fundamental role in pathogen recognition and activation of innate immunity. TLRs are highly conserved from Drosophila to humans and share structural and functional similarities. They recognize pathogen-associated molecular patterns (PAMPs) that are expressed on infectious agents, and mediate the production of cytokines necessary for the development of effective immunity. The various TLRs exhibit different patterns of expression. This receptor is most abundantly expressed in placenta and pancreas, and is restricted to the dendritic subpopulation of the leukocytes. It recognizes dsRNA associated with viral infection, and induces the activation of NF-kappaB and the production of type I interferons. It may thus play a role in host defense against viruses. Use of alternative polyadenylation sites to generate different length transcripts has been noted for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

Key component of innate and adaptive immunity. TLRs (Toll-like receptors) control host immune response against pathogens through recognition of molecular patterns specific to microorganisms. TLR3 is a nucleotide-sensing TLR which is activated by double-stranded RNA, a sign of viral infection. Acts via the adapter TRIF/TICAM1, leading to NF-kappa-B activation, IRF3 nuclear translocation, cytokine secretion and the inflammatory response.

Product Notes

The TLR3 tlr3 (Catalog #AAA206810) is a Recombinant Protein produced from Baculovirus and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The tag for this protein is His-tag. AAA Biotech's TLR3 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, SDS-PAGE. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the TLR3 tlr3 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: SSTTKCTVSH EVADCSHLKL TQVPDDLPTN ITVLNLTHNQ LRRLPAANFT RYSQLTSLDV GFNTISKLEP ELCQKLPMLK VLNLQHNELS QLSDKTFAFC TNLTELHLMS NSIQKIKNNP FVKQKNLITL DLSHNGLSST KLGTQVQLEN LQELLLSNNK IQALKSEELD IFANSSLKKL ELSSNQIKEF SPGCFHAIGR LFGLFLNNVQ LGPSLTEKLC LELANTSIRN LSLSNSQLST TSNTTFLGLK WTNLTMLDLS YNNLNVVGND SFAWLPQLEY FFLEYNNIQH LFSHSLHGLF NVRYLNLKRS FTKQSISLAS LPKIDDFSFQ WLKCLEHLNM EDNDIPGIKS NMFTGLINLK YLSLSNSFTS LRTLTNETFV SLAHSPLHIL NLTKNKISKI ESDAFSWLGH LEVLDLGLNE IGQELTGQEW RGLENIFEIY LSYNKYLQLT RNSFALVPSL QRLMLRRVAL KNVDSSPSPF QPLRNLTILD LSNNNIANIN DDMLEGLEKL EILDLQHNNL ARLWKHANPG GPIYFLKGLS HLHILNLESN GFDEIPVEVF KDLFELKIID LGLNNLNTLP ASVFNNQVSL KSLNLQKNLI TSVEKKVFGP AFRNLTELDM RFNPFDCTCE SIAWFVNWIN ETHTNIPELS SHYLCNTPPH YHGFPVRLFD TSSCKDSAPF ELLEHHHHHH. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "TLR3, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
