Principle of the Assay: The Mouse Cripto ELISA (Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay) kit is an in vitro enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for the quantitative measurement of Mouse Cripto in Cell Culture Supernates, Serum, Plasma. This assay employs an antibody specific for Mouse Cripto coated on a 96-well plate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and Cripto present in a sample is bound to the wells by the immobilized antibody. The wells are washed and biotinylated anti-Mouse Cripto antibody is added. After washing away unbound biotinylated antibody, HRP-conjugated streptavidin is pipetted to the wells. The wells are again washed, a TMB substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of Cripto bound. The Stop Solution changes the color from blue to yellow, and the intensity of the color is measured at 450 nm.

Background: Teratocarcinoma-derived growth factor 1 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the TDGF1 gene. It is mapped to 3p23-p21. The protein is an extracellular, membrane-bound signaling protein that plays an essential role in embryonic developmentand tumor growth. Mutations in this gene are associated with forebrain defects. Pseudogenes of this gene are found on chromosomes 2, 3, 6, 8, 19 and X. Alternate splicing results in multiple transcript variants.

Product Notes

The Mouse TDGF1 tdgf1 (Catalog #AAA8248461) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA8248461 ELISA Kit recognizes Mouse TDGF1. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Cripto, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
