Rabenosyn 5 Blocking Peptide | ZFYVE20 blocking peptide
Rabenosyn 5 Blocking Peptide
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a protein that belongs to the FYVE zinc finger family of proteins. The encoded protein interacts with Ras-related proteins that regulate membrane trafficking. A missense mutation in this gene is associated with a defect in the early endocytic pathway. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Oct 2014]
Uniprot Description
ZFYVE20: Rab4/Rab5 effector protein acting in early endocytic membrane fusion and membrane trafficking of recycling endosomes. Required for endosome fusion either homotypically or with clathrin coated vesicles. Plays a role in the lysosomal trafficking of CTSD/cathepsin D from the Golgi to lysosomes. Also promotes the recycling of transferrin directly from early endosomes to the plasma membrane. Binds phospholipid vesicles containing phosphatidylinositol 3-phosphate (PtdInsP3).
Protein type: Adaptor/scaffold; C2H2-type zinc finger protein
Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 3p25.1
Cellular Component: early endosome membrane; endosome; endosome membrane; intracellular membrane-bound organelle; plasma membrane
Molecular Function: protein binding; Rab GTPase binding; zinc ion binding
Biological Process: blood coagulation; endocytosis; endosomal vesicle fusion; endosome transport; Golgi to endosome transport; Golgi to vacuole transport; late endosome to vacuole transport; protein transport; vacuole inheritance

Product Notes
The ZFYVE20 rbsn (Catalog #AAA8243943) is a Blocking Peptide produced from Synthetic and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Rabenosyn 5 Blocking Peptide reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Rabenosyn 5 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Blocking (BL). Blocking Peptide to the diluted primary antibody in a molar ratio of 10:1 (peptide to antibody) and incubate the mixture at 4 degree C for overnight or at room temperature for 2 hours. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ZFYVE20 rbsn for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Rabenosyn 5, Blocking Peptide" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
