Related Product Information for Nocodazole reagent
Nocodazole, an inhibitor of microtubule formation, was found to greatly inhibit cell division around the mound stage as well as during the vegetative growth phase, when applied to exponentially growing Ax-2 cells. Mitotic arrest of cells with nocodazole can be used to study phosphorylation of microtubule-associated proteins which increase during mitosis, concomitant with increased microtubule dynamics. Nocodazole has been found to dramatically inhibit T cell antigen receptor (TCR) signaling, independently of its ability to depolymerize microtubules. Nocodazole arrests the cell cycle at G2/M phase and prevents phosphorylation of the T cell antigen receptor and inhibits its activity.

Product Notes

The Nocodazole (Catalog #AAA635381) is a Reagent produced from Synthetic and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Nocodazole, Reagent" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
