DBH siRNA (Rat)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
oxidoreductase that catalyzes the conversion of 3,4 dihydroxyphenethylamine, ascorbate, and O(2) to noradrenaline, dehydroascorbate, and H(2) in norephinephrine biosynthesis [RGD, Feb 2006]
Uniprot Description
DBH: Conversion of dopamine to noradrenaline. Homotetramer composed of two non-covalently bound disulfide-linked dimers. Activity is enhanced by nerve growth factor (in superior cervical ganglia and adrenal medulla). Trans-synaptic stimulation with reserpine, acetylcholine and glucocorticoids. Belongs to the copper type II ascorbate-dependent monooxygenase family.
Protein type: Membrane protein, integral; Oxidoreductase; EC 1.14.17.1; Motility/polarity/chemotaxis; Amino Acid Metabolism - tyrosine; Apoptosis; Cell cycle regulation
Cellular Component: cell soma; apical part of cell; axon; dendrite; cytoplasmic membrane-bound vesicle; cytoplasm; integral to membrane; terminal button; synapse
Molecular Function: copper ion binding; L-ascorbic acid binding; dopamine beta-monooxygenase activity; oxidoreductase activity, acting on paired donors, with incorporation or reduction of molecular oxygen, reduced ascorbate as one donor, and incorporation of one atom of oxygen

Product Notes
The DBH dbh (Catalog #AAA829846) is a siRNA produced from Synthetic and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The DBH siRNA (Rat) reacts with Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's DBH can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, RNA Interference (RNAi). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the DBH dbh for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "DBH, siRNA" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
