MGAM sirna
MGAM siRNA (Human)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes maltase-glucoamylase, which is a brush border membrane enzyme that plays a role in the final steps of digestion of starch. The protein has two catalytic sites identical to those of sucrase-isomaltase, but the proteins are only 59% homologous. Both are members of glycosyl hydrolase family 31, which has a variety of substrate specificities. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Uniprot Description
MGAM: May serve as an alternate pathway for starch digestion when luminal alpha-amylase activity is reduced because of immaturity or malnutrition. May play a unique role in the digestion of malted dietary oligosaccharides used in food manufacturing. Belongs to the glycosyl hydrolase 31 family.

Product Notes
The MGAM mgam (Catalog #AAA8227783) is a siRNA produced from Synthetic and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The MGAM siRNA (Human) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's MGAM can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, RNA Interference (RNAi). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the MGAM mgam for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "MGAM, siRNA" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
