NCBI Description

The multiprotein TRAP/Mediator complex facilitates gene expression through a wide variety of transcriptional activators. MED30 is a component of this complex that appears to be metazoan specific (Baek et al., 2002 [PubMed 11909976]).[supplied by OMIM, Nov 2010]

Uniprot Description

MED30: Component of the Mediator complex, a coactivator involved in the regulated transcription of nearly all RNA polymerase II-dependent genes. Mediator functions as a bridge to convey information from gene-specific regulatory proteins to the basal RNA polymerase II transcription machinery. Mediator is recruited to promoters by direct interactions with regulatory proteins and serves as a scaffold for the assembly of a functional preinitiation complex with RNA polymerase II and the general transcription factors. Belongs to the Mediator complex subunit 30 family.

Product Notes

The MED30 med30 (Catalog #AAA823803) is a Blocking Peptide produced from Synthetic and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The MED30 Blocking Peptide reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat, Monkey and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's MED30 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Blocking (BL). Blocking Peptide to the diluted primary antibody in a molar ratio of 10:1 (peptide to antibody) and incubate the mixture at 4 degree C for overnight or at room temperature for 2 hours. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the MED30 med30 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "MED30, Blocking Peptide" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
