Related Product Information for anti-ULBP1 antibody
This is a rabbit polyclonal antibody against ULBP1. It was validated on Western Blot using a cell lysate as a positive control.

Target Description: ULBP1 is the ligand for the NKG2D receptor, together with at least ULBP2 and ULBP3. ULBPs activate multiple signaling pathways in primary NK cells, resulting in the production of cytokines and chemokines. Binding of ULBPs ligands to NKG2D induces calcium mobilization and activation of the JAK2, STAT5, ERK and PI3K kinase/Akt signal transduction pathway. In CMV infected cells, interacts with soluble CMV glycoprotein UL16. The interaction with UL16 blocked the interaction with the NKG2D receptor, providing a mechanism by which CMV infected cells might escape the immune system. UL16 also causes ULBP1 to be retained in the ER and cis-Golgi apparatus so that it does not reach the cell surface.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a ligand of natural killer group 2, member D (NKG2D), an immune system-activating receptor on NK cells and T-cells. Binding of the encoded ligand to NKG2D leads to activation of several signal transduction pathways, including those of JAK2, STAT5, ERK and PI3K kinase/Akt. Also, in cytomegalovirus-infected cells, this ligand binds the UL16 glycoprotein and is prevented from activating the immune system. Three transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Nov 2015]

Uniprot Description

ULBP1: Ligand for the NKG2D receptor, together with at least ULBP2 and ULBP3. UL16 also causes ULBP1 to be retained in the ER and cis- Golgi apparatus so that it does not reach the cell surface. Belongs to the MHC class I family.

Product Notes

The ULBP1 ulbp1 (Catalog #AAA3209708) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The ULBP1 antibody - N-terminal region reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's ULBP1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ULBP1 ulbp1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: Synthetic peptide located within the following region: MAAAASPAFL LCLPLLHLLS GWSRAGWVDT HCLCYDFIIT PKSRPEPQWC. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "ULBP1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
