Uniprot Description
EID1: Interacts with RB1 and EP300 and acts as a repressor of MYOD1 transactivation. Inhibits EP300 and CBP histone acetyltransferase activity. May be involved in coupling cell cycle exit to the transcriptional activation of genes required for cellular differentiation. May act as a candidate coinhibitory factor for NR0B2 that can be directly linked to transcription inhibitory mechanisms. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.
Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 15q21.1
Cellular Component: nucleoplasm; nucleus
Molecular Function: histone acetyltransferase binding; histone acetyltransferase regulator activity; protein binding; transcription corepressor activity
Biological Process: cell differentiation; negative regulation of transcription from RNA polymerase II promoter; negative regulation of transcription, DNA-dependent
Product Notes
The EID1 eid1 (Catalog #
AAA8247840) is a Blocking Peptide produced from Synthetic and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The EID1 Blocking Peptide reacts with Human, Bovine and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's EID1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Blocking (BL). Blocking Peptide to the diluted primary antibody in a molar ratio of 10:1 (peptide to antibody) and incubate the mixture at 4 degree C for overnight or at room temperature for 2 hours. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the EID1 eid1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of
"EID1, Blocking Peptide" to become dispersed throughout the inside of
the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always
suggest centrifuging these vials
to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to
opening. Please be advised that
certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an
additional dry ice fee may also be
required.
