Protein STRUBBELIG (SUB) Recombinant Protein | SUB recombinant protein
Recombinant Arabidopsis thaliana Protein STRUBBELIG (SUB), partial
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
Encodes a receptor-like kinase protein with a predicted extracellular domain of six leucine-rich repeats and an intracellular serine-threonine kinase domain expressed throughout the developing root. Regulates expression of GLABRA2, CAPRICE, WEREWOLF, and ENHANCER OF GLABRA3. Required for floral organ shape, the development of the outer integument of ovules, and stem development. Regulates cell shape and cell division planes in the L2 layer of floral meristems and the L1-derived outer integument of ovules. Controls specification of epidermal root hairs. Participates in the coordination of cell morphogenesis between cell layers during floral development.
Uniprot Description
Regulates the expression of transcription factors that define the cell fates. Acts in a non-cell-autonomous fashion, functions in a radial inside-out signaling process, and mediates cell morphogenesis and cell fate across clonally distinct cell layers in floral primordia, developing ovules, and root meristems. Seems to be required for the regulation of cell shape and the orientation of the mitotic division plane. Involved in root hair specification, in the formation of the outer integument and the shape of organs such as carpels and petals and is necessary for the shape and height of the stem. Non-functional SUB proteins are retained in the endoplasmic reticulum and degraded by endoplasmic reticulum-associated degradation (ERAD).

It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Protein STRUBBELIG (SUB), Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
