Specificity
This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of SRPAb. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between SRPAb and analogues was observed. NOTE: Limited by current skills and knowledge, it is impossible for us to complete the cross-reactivity detection between SRPAb and all the analogues, therefore, cross reaction may still exist in some cases.

Intended Uses: This SRPAb ELISA kit is a 1.5 hour solid-phase ELISA designed for the quantitative determination of Mouse SRPAb. This ELISA kit for research use only, not for therapeutic or test applications!

Principle of the Assay: SRPAb ELISA kit applies the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique utilizing a SRP antigen and an SRPAb-HRP conjugate. The assay sample and buffer are incubated together with SRPAb-HRP conjugate in pre-coated plate for one hour. After the incubation period, the wells are decanted and washed five times. The wells are then incubated with a substrate for HRP enzyme. The product of the enzyme-substrate reaction forms a blue colored complex. Finally, a stop solution is added to stop the reaction, which will then turn the solution yellow. The intensity of color is measured spectrophotometrically at 450nm in a microplate reader. The intensity of the color is inversely proportional to the SRPAb concentration since SRPAb from samples and SRPAb-HRP conjugate compete for the GLS antigen binding site. Since the number of sites is limited, as more sites are occupied by SRPAb from the sample, fewer sites are left to bind SRPAb-HRP conjugate. A standard curve is plotted relating the intensity of the color (O.D.) to the concentration of standards. The SRPAb concentration in each sample is interpolated from this standard curve.

SRP54: Binds to the signal sequence of presecretory protein when they emerge from the ribosomes and transfers them to TRAM (translocating chain-associating membrane protein). Belongs to the GTP-binding SRP family. SRP54 subfamily. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes

The Mouse SRP srp54 (Catalog #AAA720983) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA720983 ELISA Kit recognizes Mouse SRP. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Signal Recognition Particle Antibody, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
