Related Product Information for SP140 recombinant protein
Short Description: The peptide corresponding to amino acids 688-862 that contains the bromodomain sequences of SP140 (accession number NP_009168.4) was expressed in E Coli and contains an N-terminal His-tag and C-terminal DYKDDDDK tag with an observed molecular weight of 26.98 kDa. SP140 nuclear body protein (SP140) is a component of the nuclear body that may be involved in trafficking between the nucleus and the cytoplasm. SP140 contains one HSR domain, one PHD-type zinc finger, a bromodomain and one SAND domain. The bromodomain functions as a 'reader' of epigenetic histone marks and regulates chromatin structure and gene expression by linking associated proteins to the recognized acetylated nucleosomal targets. SP140 may be involved in the pathogenesis of acute promyelocytic leukemia and viral infection. Recombinant SP140 (688-862) can be used in binding assays and inhibitor screening.

Product Notes

The SP140 sp140 (Catalog #AAA388162) is a Recombinant Protein produced from E Coli and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "SP140, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
