NCBI Description

The uronate cycle functions as an alternative glucose metabolic pathway, accounting for about 5% of daily glucose catabolism. The product of this gene catalyzes the dehydrogenation of L-gulonate into dehydro-L-gulonate in the uronate cycle. The enzyme requires NAD(H) as a coenzyme, and is inhibited by inorganic phosphate. A similar gene in the rabbit is thought to serve a structural role in the lens of the eye. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Product Notes

The Sheep CRYL1 cryl1 (Catalog #AAA7232830) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA7232830 ELISA Kit recognizes Sheep CRYL1. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Lambda-crystallin homolog (CRYL1), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
