Alkaline Phosphatase Placental Active Protein | ALPP active protein
Recombinant Human Alkaline Phosphatase Placental, BioActive
ALPP protein solution (0.5mg/ml) containing Phosphate-Buffered Saline (pH7.4) and 10% glycerol.
Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time.
For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).
Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
ALPP Human produced in Sf9 Baculovirus cells is a single, glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 494 amino acids (23-506 a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 53.9kDa. ALPP is expressed with a 10 amino acid His tag at C-Terminus and purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
There are at least four distinct but related alkaline phosphatases: intestinal, placental, placental-like, and liver/bone/kidney (tissue non-specific). The first three are located together on chromosome 2 while the tissue non-specific form is located on chromosome 1. The product of this gene is a membrane bound glycosylated enzyme, also referred to as the heat stable form, that is expressed primarily in the placenta although it is closely related to the intestinal form of the enzyme as well as to the placental-like form. The coding sequence for this form of alkaline phosphatase is unique in that the 3' untranslated region contains multiple copies of an Alu family repeat. In addition, this gene is polymorphic and three common alleles (type 1, type 2 and type 3) for this form of alkaline phosphatase have been well characterized. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Alkaline Phosphatase Placental, Active Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
