Preparation and Storage
Storage: Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
Store at 2-8 degree C for one month.
Aliquot and store at -80 degree C for 24 months.
Stability Test: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37 degree C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a DNA-binding transcription factor and is a member of the NR1 subfamily of nuclear hormone receptors. The specific functions of this protein are not known; however, studies of a similar gene in mice have shown that this gene may be essential for lymphoid organogenesis and may play an important regulatory role in thymopoiesis. In addition, studies in mice suggest that the protein encoded by this gene may inhibit the expression of Fas ligand and IL2. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

RORC: Possible nuclear receptor for hydroxycholesterols, the binding of which strongly promotes coactivators recruitment. Essential for thymopoiesis and the development of several secondary lymphoid tissues, including lymph nodes. Involved in lineage specification of uncommitted CD4(+) T-helper cells into Th17 cells. Regulate the expression of several components of the circadian clock. Belongs to the nuclear hormone receptor family. NR1 subfamily. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes

The RORg rorc (Catalog #AAA2010934) is a Recombinant Protein produced from E. coli and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's RAR Related Orphan Receptor Gamma (RORg) can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, SDS-PAGE, WB, ELISA, IP, CoIP, Purification, Amine Reactive Labeling. (May be suitable for use in other assays to be determined by the end user.) . Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the RORg rorc for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "RAR Related Orphan Receptor Gamma (RORg), Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
