Related Product Information for RBP5 recombinant protein
Description: RBP5 Human Recombinant fused with a 20 amino acid His tag at N-terminus produced in E Coli is a single, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 155 amino acids (1-135 a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 18.1kDa. The RBP5 is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

Introduction: RBP5 is a member of the Retinol-binding proteins family. Estimation of retinol-binding protein is used to determine visceral protein mass in nutritional studies related to health. RBP5 has a higher expression in the adult kidney and liver and to a lesser extent in the adult and fetal spleen, adult lymph nodes and appendix, and fetal liver and kidney. RBP5 expression is strongly decreased in hepatocellular carcinoma tissues.

Product Notes

The RBP5 rbp5 (Catalog #AAA144254) is a Recombinant Protein produced from E Coli and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The amino acid sequence is listed below: MGSSHHH HHH SSGLVPRGSH MPPNLTGYYR FVSQKNMEDY LQALNISLAV RKIALLLKPD KEIEHQGNHM TVRTLSTFRN YTVQFDVGVE FEEDLRSVDG RKCQTIVTWE EEHLVCVQKG EVPNRGWRHW LEGEMLYLEL TARDAVCEQV FRKVR. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Retinol Binding Protein-5, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
