Related Product Information for anti-CD200 antibody
CD200, also known as OX-2, is a type-1 membrane glycoprotein that belongs to the immunoglobin superfamily (IgSF). It's expressed on several tissues including thymocytes, neurons, endothelium, follicular dendritic cells in all lymphoid organs, a subset of CD34+ progenitor cells, and at low levels on some smooth muscle and B lymphocytes. CD200 is not expressed on NK cells, monocytes, granulocytes, or platelets. CD200 co-stimulates T-cell proliferation and may regulate myeoid cell activity in a variety of tissues. Additionally, interaction of CD200 with its receptor on macrophages induces a downregulation of macrophage activity in a variety of tissues, suggesting a regulatory function.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a type I membrane glycoprotein containing two extracellular immunoglobulin domains, a transmembrane and a cytoplasmic domain. This gene is expressed by various cell types, including B cells, a subset of T cells, thymocytes, endothelial cells, and neurons. The encoded protein plays an important role in immunosuppression and regulation of anti-tumor activity. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms. Product Notes

The CD200 (Catalog #AAA520896) is an Antibody produced from Rat and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-Human CD200, Purified, (Clone: 1B9) (Rat IgG2a) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CD200 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Flow Cytometry (FC). Tissue Distribution by Flow Cytometry Analysis: Cell Concentration: 1x106 cells per tests Antibody Concentration Used: 0.1 ug/106 cells Cell Source: Human PBLs Percentage of cells stained above control: 16.4 % *For optimal results in various applications, it is recommended that each investigator determine dilutions appropriate for individual use. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CD200 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CD200, Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
