Related Product Information for CYTIP elisa kit
Intended Uses: This ELISA kit applies to the in vitro quantitative determination of Rat CYTIP concentrations in serum, plasma and other biological fluids.

Principle of the Assay: This ELISA kit uses Sandwich-ELISA as the method. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to CYTIP. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate micro ELISA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for CYTIP and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate is added to each micro plate well successively and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain CYTIP, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of a sulphuric acid solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm +/- 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of CYTIP. You can calculate the concentration of CYTIP in the samples by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene contains 2 leucine zipper domains and a putative C-terminal nuclear targeting signal, but does not have any hydrophobic regions. This protein is expressed weakly in resting NK and T cells. The encoded protein modulates the activation of ARF genes by CYTH1. This protein interacts with CYTH1 and SNX27 proteins and may act to sequester CYTH1 protein in the cytoplasm.[provided by RefSeq, Aug 2008]

Uniprot Description

PSCDBP: By its binding to cytohesin-1 (CYTH1), it modifies activation of ARFs by CYTH1 and its precise function may be to sequester CYTH1 in the cytoplasm.

Protein type: Cell adhesion

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 2q11.2

Cellular Component: nucleoplasm; early endosome; cytoplasm; cell cortex

Molecular Function: protein binding

Biological Process: regulation of cell adhesion

Product Notes

The Rat CYTIP cytip (Catalog #AAA2501825) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2501825 ELISA Kit recognizes Rat CYTIP. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CYTIP, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
