Usage Notes
* Do not mix components from different kit lots or use reagents beyond the kit expiration date.
* Allow all reagents to warm to room temperature for at least 30 minutes before opening.
* Pre-rinse the pipet tip with reagent, use fresh pipet tips for each sample, standard and reagent to avoid contamination.
* Unused wells must be kept desiccated at 4 degree C in the sealed bag provided.
* Mix Thoroughly is very important for the result. It is recommended using low frequency oscillator or slight hand shaking every 10 minutes.
* It is recommended that all samples and standards be assayed in duplicate or triplicate.
Preparation and Storage
Store at 2-8 degree C.

Related Product Information for cTn-C elisa kit
Description: This Rat Cardiac troponin C (cTn-C) ELISA Kit employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate cTn-C in samples. An antibody specific for cTn-C has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any cTn-C present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for cTn-C is added to the wells. After washing, Streptavidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of cTn-C bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

Background: Troponin is a central regulatory protein of striated muscle contraction, and together with tropomyosin, is located on the actin filament. Troponin consists of 3 subunits: TnI, which is the inhibitor of actomyosin ATPase; TnT, which contains the binding site for tropomyosin; and TnC, the protein encoded by this gene. The binding of calcium to TnC abolishes the inhibitory action of TnI, thus allowing the interaction of actin with myosin, the hydrolysis of ATP, and the generation of tension. Mutations in this gene are associated with cardiomyopathy dilated type 1Z. [provided by RefSeq, Oct 2008]

Product Notes

The Rat cTn-C (Catalog #AAA9711679) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA9711679 ELISA Kit recognizes Rat cTn-C. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Cardiac Troponin C (cTn-C), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
