Related Product Information for AMH elisa kit
Intended Uses: This ELISA kit applies to the in vitro quantitative determination of Rat ALT concentrations in serum, plasma and other biological fluids.

Principle of the Assay: This ELISA kit uses the Sandwich-ELISA principle. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Rat ALT. Standards or samples are added to the micro ELISA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for Rat ALT and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate are added successively to each micro plate well and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain Rat ALT, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of stop solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm +/- 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of Rat ALT. You can calculate the concentration of Rat ALT in the samples by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.

NCBI Description

This gene is a member of the transforming growth factor-beta superfamily of growth and differentiation factors. The encoded protein is produced in fetal Sertoli cells during male gonadal differentiation. The protein binds to the anti-Mullerian hormone receptor type 2 and causes the regression of Mullerian ducts in developing male embryos. In humans, some mutations in this gene are associated with persistent Mullerian duct syndrome (PMDS). [provided by RefSeq, Apr 2013]

Uniprot Description

AMH: This glycoprotein, produced by the Sertoli cells of the testis, causes regression of the Muellerian duct. It is also able to inhibit the growth of tumors derived from tissues of Muellerian duct origin. Defects in AMH are the cause of persistent Muellerian duct syndrome type 1 (PMDS1). PMDS1 is a form of male pseudohermaphroditism characterized by a failure of Muellerian duct regression in otherwise normal males. Belongs to the TGF-beta family.

Protein type: Secreted; Secreted, signal peptide

Cellular Component: extracellular space; cytoplasm

Molecular Function: hormone activity; transforming growth factor beta receptor binding; receptor binding

Biological Process: Mullerian duct regression; cell-cell signaling; preantral ovarian follicle growth; urogenital system development; activation of NF-kappaB transcription factor

Product Notes

The Rat AMH amh (Catalog #AAA2509909) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2509909 ELISA Kit recognizes Rat AMH. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "AMH, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
