Rat CYSLTR2 (Cysteinyl Leukotriene Receptor 2) CLIA Kit
Principle of the Assay: This kit uses Sandwich-CLIA as the method. The micro CLIA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to CYSLTR2. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate micro CLIA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for CYSLTR2 and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate is added to each micro plate well successively and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain CYSLTR2, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear fluorescence. The Relative light unit (RLU) value is measured spectrophotometrically by the Chemiluminescence immunoassay analyzer. The RLU value is positively associated with the concentration of CYSLTR2. You can calculate the concentration of CYSLTR2 in the samples by comparing the RLU value of the samples to the standard curve.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
The cysteinyl leukotrienes LTC4, LTD4, and LTE4 are important mediators of human bronchial asthma. Pharmacologic studies have determined that cysteinyl leukotrienes activate at least 2 receptors, the protein encoded by this gene and CYSLTR1. This encoded receptor is a member of the superfamily of G protein-coupled receptors. It seems to play a major role in endocrine and cardiovascular systems. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Uniprot Description
CYSLTR2: Receptor for cysteinyl leukotrienes. The response is mediated via a G-protein that activates a phosphatidylinositol- calcium second messenger system. Stimulation by BAY u9773, a partial agonist, induces specific contractions of pulmonary veins and might also have an indirect role in the relaxation of the pulmonary vascular endothelium. The rank order of affinities for the leukotrienes is LTC4 = LTD4 >> LTE4. Belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family.
Protein type: Membrane protein, multi-pass; Receptor, GPCR; GPCR, family 1; Membrane protein, integral
Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 13q14.2
Cellular Component: integral to plasma membrane; plasma membrane
Molecular Function: protein binding; cysteinyl leukotriene receptor activity; peptide receptor activity, G-protein coupled; leukotriene receptor activity
Biological Process: positive regulation of angiogenesis; neuropeptide signaling pathway; immune response; G-protein signaling, coupled to IP3 second messenger (phospholipase C activating)

Product Notes
The Rat CYSLTR2 cysltr2 (Catalog #AAA2533215) is a CLIA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2533215 CLIA Kit recognizes Rat CYSLTR2. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CYSLTR2 (Cysteinyl Leukotriene Receptor 2), CLIA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
