Related Product Information for anti-ACADL antibody
ACADL(Long-chain specific acyl-CoA dehydrogenase, mitochondrial) is also named as LCAD and belongs to the acyl-CoA dehydrogenase family. It catalyzes the first reaction of the mitochondrial beta-oxidation of fatty acids and is synthesized in the cytosol as a precursor that is larger than its mature from. The size difference between the precursor and mature rat LCAD has been estimated to be 3 kDa on the basis of SDS-PAGE(PMID:1774065).Defects in ACADL are a cause of acyl-CoA dehydrogenase very long-chain deficiency (ACADVLD).This antibody is specific to ACADL.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the acyl-CoA dehydrogenase family, which is a family of mitochondrial flavoenzymes involved in fatty acid and branched chain amino-acid metabolism. This protein is one of the four enzymes that catalyze the initial step of mitochondrial beta-oxidation of straight-chain fatty acid. Defects in this gene are the cause of long-chain acyl-CoA dehydrogenase (LCAD) deficiency, leading to nonketotic hypoglycemia. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

MiscellaneousA number of straight-chain acyl-CoA dehydrogenases of different substrate specificities are present in mammalian tissues.

Product Notes

The ACADL acadl (Catalog #AAA8502102) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The ACADL Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's ACADL can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). WB: 1:500-1:2000 IHC: 1:50-1:200. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ACADL acadl for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "ACADL, Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
