Related Product Information for anti-TSP1 antibody
TSP1, also named as THBS1, THBS and TSP, is an adhesive glycoprotein that mediates cell-to-cell and cell-to-matrix interactions, and which can bind to fibrinogen, fibronectin, laminin, type V collagen and integrins alpha-V/beta-1, alpha-V/beta-3 and alpha-IIb/beta-3. TSP1 is a regulator of many biological processes including cell growth, adhesion, migration, platelet aggregation, and fibrin deposition and lysis. It interacts with a number of plasma proteins such as fibrinogen and plasminogen and co-polymerizes with fibrin in clot formation.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a subunit of a disulfide-linked homotrimeric protein. This protein is an adhesive glycoprotein that mediates cell-to-cell and cell-to-matrix interactions. This protein can bind to fibrinogen, fibronectin, laminin, type V collagen and integrins alpha-V/beta-1. This protein has been shown to play roles in platelet aggregation, angiogenesis, and tumorigenesis. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

Adhesive glycoprotein that mediates cell-to-cell and cell-to-matrix interactions. Binds heparin. May play a role in dentinogenesis and/or maintenance of dentin and dental pulp (). Ligand for CD36 mediating antiangiogenic properties. Plays a role in ER stress response, via its interaction with the activating transcription factor 6 alpha (ATF6) which produces adaptive ER stress response factors ().

Product Notes

The TSP1 thbs1 (Catalog #AAA8501525) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The TSP1 Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's TSP1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). WB: 1:500-1:1000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the TSP1 thbs1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "TSP1, Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
