Principle of the Assay||This kit was based on sandwich enzyme-linked immune-sorbent assay technology. anti-Human PRSS1 antibody was pre-coated onto 96-well plates. And the biotin conjugated anti-Human PRSS1 antibody was used as detection antibodies. The standards, test samples and biotin conjugated detection antibody were added to the wells subsequently, and wash with wash buffer. HRP-Streptavidin was added and unbound conjugates were washed away with wash buffer. TMB substrates were used to visualize HRP enzymatic reaction. TMB was catalyzed by HRP to produce a blue color product that changed into yellow after adding acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the Human PRSS1 amount of sample captured in plate. Read the O.D. absorbance at 450nm in a microplate reader, and then the concentration of Human PRSS1 can be calculated.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a trypsinogen, which is a member of the trypsin family of serine proteases. This enzyme is secreted by the pancreas and cleaved to its active form in the small intestine. It is active on peptide linkages involving the carboxyl group of lysine or arginine. Mutations in this gene are associated with hereditary pancreatitis. This gene and several other trypsinogen genes are localized to the T cell receptor beta locus on chromosome 7. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
