Related Product Information for PP13 elisa kit
Principle of the Assay: PP13 ELISA kit applies the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique utilizing a monoclonal anti-PP13 antibody and an PP13-HRP conjugate. The assay sample and buffer are incubated together with PP13-HRP conjugate in pre-coated plate for one hour. After the incubation period, the wells are decanted and washed five times. The wells are then incubated with a substrate for HRP enzyme. The product of the enzyme-substrate reaction forms a blue colored complex. Finally, a stop solution is added to stop the reaction, which will then turn the solution yellow. The intensity of color is measured spectrophotometrically at 450nm in a microplate reader. The intensity of the color is inversely proportional to the PP13 concentration since PP13 from samples and PP13-HRP conjugate compete for the anti-PP13 antibody binding site. Since the number of sites is limited, as more sites are occupied by PP13 from the sample, fewer sites are left to bind PP13-HRP conjugate. A standard curve is plotted relating the intensity of the color (O.D.) to the concentration of standards. The PP13 concentration in each sample is interpolated from this standard curve.

NCBI Description

Lysophospholipases are enzymes that act on biological membranes to regulate the multifunctional lysophospholipids. The protein encoded by this gene has lysophospholipase activity. It is composed of two identical subunits which are held together by disulfide bonds. This protein has structural similarity to several members of the beta-galactoside-binding S-type lectin family. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

Product Notes

The Rat PP13 lgals13 (Catalog #AAA723002) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA723002 ELISA Kit recognizes Rat PP13. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Placental Protein 13, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
