Porcine VEGFR1/Flt1 ELISA Kit | VEGFR1/Flt1 elisa kit
Porcine VEGFR1/Flt1 (Vascuoar Endothelial Growth Factor Receptor 1) ELISA Kit
Principle of the Assay: This ELISA kit uses Sandwich-ELISA as the method. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Porcine VEGFR1/Flt1. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate micro ELISA plate wells and bound by the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for Porcine VEGFR1/Flt1 and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate is added to each micro plate well successively and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain Porcine VEGFR1/Flt1, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of a sulphuric acid solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm +/- 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of Porcine VEGFR1/Flt1. You can calculate the concentration of Porcine VEGFR1/Flt1 in the samples by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a member of the vascular endothelial growth factor receptor (VEGFR) family. VEGFR family members are receptor tyrosine kinases (RTKs) which contain an extracellular ligand-binding region with seven immunoglobulin (Ig)-like domains, a transmembrane segment, and a tyrosine kinase (TK) domain within the cytoplasmic domain. This protein binds to VEGFR-A, VEGFR-B and placental growth factor and plays an important role in angiogenesis and vasculogenesis. Expression of this receptor is found in vascular endothelial cells, placental trophoblast cells and peripheral blood monocytes. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. Isoforms include a full-length transmembrane receptor isoform and shortened, soluble isoforms. The soluble isoforms are associated with the onset of pre-eclampsia.[provided by RefSeq, May 2009]
Uniprot Description
VEGFR1: a receptor tyrosine kinase of the VEGFR family. Receptor for VEGF, VEGFB and PGF. The VEGF-kinase ligand/receptor signaling system plays a key role in vascular development and regulation of vascular permeability. Two splice variant isoforms have been described. Isoform SFlt1 may have an inhibitory role in angiogenesis.
