Related Product Information for PGI2 elisa kit
Principle of the Assay: This experiment use double-sandwich elisa technique and the ELISA Kit provided is typical. The pre-coated antibody is Porcine PGI2 monoclonal antibody and the detecting antibody is polyclonal antibody with biotin labeled. Samples and biotin labeling antibody are added into ELISA plate wells and washed out with PBS or TBS. Then Avidin-peroxidase conjugates are added to ELISA wells in order; Use TMB substrate for coloring after reactant thoroughly washed out by PBS or TBS. TMB turns into blue in peroxidase catalytic and finally turns into yellow under the action of acid. The color depth and the testing factors in samples are positively correlated.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the G-protein coupled receptor family 1 and has been shown to be a receptor for prostacyclin. Prostacyclin, the major product of cyclooxygenase in macrovascular endothelium, elicits a potent vasodilation and inhibition of platelet aggregation through binding to this receptor. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

PTGIR: Receptor for prostacyclin (prostaglandin I2 or PGI2). The activity of this receptor is mediated by G(s) proteins which activate adenylate cyclase. Belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family.

Protein type: Membrane protein, multi-pass; GPCR, family 1; Membrane protein, integral; Receptor, GPCR

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 19q13.3

Cellular Component: integral to plasma membrane; plasma membrane; cytosol

Molecular Function: G-protein coupled receptor activity; guanyl-nucleotide exchange factor activity

Biological Process: G-protein signaling, coupled to cyclic nucleotide second messenger; cell-cell signaling; negative regulation of smooth muscle cell proliferation; positive regulation of cAMP biosynthetic process; response to lipopolysaccharide; blood coagulation; G-protein signaling, adenylate cyclase activating pathway; positive regulation of GTPase activity

Product Notes

The Porcine PGI2 ptgir (Catalog #AAA265218) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA265218 ELISA Kit recognizes Porcine PGI2. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Prostacyclin (PGI2), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
