Related Product Information for GM-CSF elisa kit
Intended Uses: This sandwich kit is for the accurate quantitative detection of Porcine Granulocyte-Macrophage Colony Stimulating Factor (also known as GM-CSF) in serum, plasma, cell culture supernates, cell lysates, tissue homogenates.

Principles of the Assay: This kit is an Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA). The plate has been pre-coated with Porcine GM-CSF antibody. GM-CSF present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Porcine GM-CSF Antibody is added and binds to GM-CSF in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated GM-CSF antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Porcine GM-CSF. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a cytokine that controls the production, differentiation, and function of granulocytes and macrophages. The active form of the protein is found extracellularly as a homodimer. This gene has been localized to a cluster of related genes at chromosome region 5q31, which is known to be associated with interstitial deletions in the 5q- syndrome and acute myelogenous leukemia. Other genes in the cluster include those encoding interleukins 4, 5, and 13. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

Cytokine that stimulates the growth and differentiation of hematopoietic precursor cells from various lineages, including granulocytes, macrophages, eosinophils and erythrocytes.

Product Notes

The Porcine GM-CSF csf2 (Catalog #AAA1600874) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA1600874 ELISA Kit recognizes Porcine GM-CSF. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Granulocyte-Macrophage Colony Stimulating Factor, GM-CSF, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
