NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the C2H2 zinc finger protein family. This protein is predicted to have a pox virus and zinc finger (POZ) domain at the N-terminus and four zinc finger domains at the C-terminus. In human and mouse, the protein localizes to the nuclei of skeletal muscle cells. Knockdown of this gene in zebrafish results in abnormal skeletal muscle development and myofibrillar disorganization. A novel homozygous variant of the human gene has been associated with lethal congenital contracture syndrome, an autosomal recessive disorder that results in muscle wasting. Product Notes

The ZBTB42 zbtb42 (Catalog #AAA9201909) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The immunogen sequence is 37-65. The ZBTB42 Antibody (N-term) reacts with Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's ZBTB42 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), ELISA (EIA), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). WB~~1:1000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ZBTB42 zbtb42 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "ZBTB42, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
