Related Product Information for anti-YEATS4 antibody
The protein encoded by this gene is found in the nucleoli. It has high sequence homology to human MLLT1, and yeast and human MLLT3 proteins. Both MLLT1 and MLLT3 proteins belong to a class of transcription factors, indicating that the encoded protein might also represent a transcription factor. This protein is thought to be required for RNA transcription. This gene has been shown to be amplified in tumors. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms.

Uniprot Description

YEATS4: Component of the NuA4 histone acetyltransferase (HAT) complex which is involved in transcriptional activation of select genes principally by acetylation of nucleosomal histones H4 and H2A. This modification may both alter nucleosome - DNA interactions and promote interaction of the modified histones with other proteins which positively regulate transcription. This complex may be required for the activation of transcriptional programs associated with oncogene and proto-oncogene mediated growth induction, tumor suppressor mediated growth arrest and replicative senescence, apoptosis, and DNA repair. NuA4 may also play a direct role in DNA repair when recruited to sites of DNA damage.

Protein type: Transcription factor

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 12q13-q15

Cellular Component: nucleoplasm; NuA4 histone acetyltransferase complex; nuclear matrix; cytoplasm; nucleolus

Molecular Function: protein C-terminus binding; protein binding; DNA binding; structural constituent of cytoskeleton; transcription factor activity

Biological Process: mitosis; establishment and/or maintenance of chromatin architecture; transcription, DNA-dependent; regulation of growth; positive regulation of transcription, DNA-dependent

Product Notes

The YEATS4 yeats4 (Catalog #AAA9404629) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The YEATS4 antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's YEATS4 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). Western blotting: 1:500 - 1:2000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the YEATS4 yeats4 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "YEATS4, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
