Immunogen
Synthetic peptide, KLH-conjugated. Epitope: An internal region of the WHIP1 protein. The immunogen sequence shows 100% homology to human WHIP1 (isoform 1) and WHIP2 (isoform 2) with predicted molecular weights of 72.2kD and 69.5kD, respectively. The immunogen sequence also shows 100% homology to WHIP1 from mouse, rat and monkey sequences. Reactivity with WHIP proteins from other sources is not known, but is likely due to reported homologies.
Preparation and Storage
May be stored at 4 degree C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile glycerol (40-50%), aliquot and store at -20 degree C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degree C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
