Rabbit WNV Polyclonal Antibody | anti-WNV antibody

RABBIT ANTI WNV CORE PROTEIN (C-TERMINAL)

Applications
ELISA, Immunofluorescence, Western Blot
Synonyms
WNV; Polyclonal Antibody; RABBIT ANTI WNV CORE PROTEIN (C-TERMINAL); anti-WNV antibody
Ordering
For Research Use Only!
Host
Rabbit
Clonality
Polyclonal
Isotype
IgG
Specificity
This item recognises the 14kDa core protein of West Nile Virus (WNV). WNV belongs to the Flaviviridae family which includes closely viruses such as Dengue fever, Yellow fever and Tick borne encephalitis.

West Nile Virus particles consist of a dense core made up of the core/capsid protein encapsulating the RNA genome surrounded by a membrane envelope containing envelope and matrix proteins. Research indicates that the viral core protein contributes to the WNV-associated inflammation via apoptosis induced though the caspase-9 pathway.

West Nile Virus is spread by mosquitos and is believed to have originated in the West Nile region of Africa but has now spread to Europe, Asia and America where it has become a significant disease affecting human and domestic animal health.

Product Notes

The WNV ns1 (Catalog #AAA223747) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's WNV can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Immunofluorescence (IF), Western Blot (WB). Western Blot: This item detects a band of approximately 14kDa in Transfected HeLa cell lysate ELISA: Maximum Dilution: 1ug/ml Immunofluorescence: Maximum Dilution: 20ug/ml Western Blotting: Maximum Dilution: 1ug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the WNV ns1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "WNV, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
