Polyclonal Antibody to detect Wnt-2 in human samples

Background: This protein belongs to the Wnt family of proteins. The WNT gene family consists of structurally related genes that encode secreted signaling proteins involved in the Wnt signaling pathway. Wnt gene family members, including Wnt-1 through Wnt-10, play a key role in regulating cellular growth and differentiation. These proteins have been implicated in oncogenesis and in several developmental processes, including regulation of cell fate and patterning during embryogenesis. Wnt-2 is expressed in brain in the thalamus, in fetal and adult lung and in the placenta.

NCBI Description

This gene is a member of the WNT gene family. The WNT gene family consists of structurally related genes which encode secreted signaling proteins. These proteins have been implicated in oncogenesis and in several developmental processes, including regulation of cell fate and patterning during embryogenesis. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been identified for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Product Notes

The Wnt-2 wnt2 (Catalog #AAA840919) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Wnt-2 Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Wnt-2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). Western blot: 1-4 ug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Wnt-2 wnt2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Wnt-2, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
