Related Product Information for anti-WNK3 antibody
Description: This gene encodes a protein belonging to the 'with no lysine' family of serine-threonine protein kinases. These family members lack the catalytic lysine in subdomain II, and instead have a conserved lysine in subdomain I. This family member functions as a positive regulator of the transcellular Ca2+ transport pathway, and it plays a role in the increase of cell survival in a caspase-3-dependent pathway. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
Function: Serine/threonine kinase which plays an important role in the regulation of electrolyte homeostasis, cell signaling, survival and proliferation. Acts as an activator and inhibitor of sodium-coupled chloride cotransporters and potassium-coupled chloride cotransporters respectively (PubMed:16275913, PubMed:16275911, PubMed:16357011). Phosphorylates WNK4. Regulates the phosphorylation of SLC12A1 and SLC12A2. Increases Ca2+ influx mediated by TRPV5 and TRPV6 by enhancing their membrane expression level via a kinase-dependent pathway (PubMed:18768590). Inhibits the activity of KCNJ1 by decreasing its expression at the cell membrane in a non-catalytic manner.
Subunit Structure: Interacts with WNK1 and WNK4.
Post-translational Modifications: Ubiquitinated by the BCR(KLHL2) complex, leading to its degradation.
Similarity: Belongs to the protein kinase superfamily. Ser/Thr protein kinase family. WNK subfamily.

Product Notes

The WNK3 wnk3 (Catalog #AAA9608044) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The WNK3 Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's WNK3 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunofluorescence (IF), Immunocytochemistry (ICC), ELISA (EIA). WB: 1:500-1:2000 IHC: 1:50-1:200 IF/ICC: 1:100-1:500 ELISA (peptide): 1:20000-1:40000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the WNK3 wnk3 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "WNK3, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
