WDR33 (WD Repeat Domain 33) is a Protein Coding gene. The WDR33 gene, located on 2q14.3, is conserved in chimpanzee, Rhesus monkey, dog, cow, mouse, and rat, etc. WDR33 belongs to the WD repeat WDR33 family. Members of this family are involved in a variety of cellular processes, including cell cycle progression, signal transduction, apoptosis, and gene regulation. This gene may play important roles in the mechanisms of cytodifferentiation and/or DNA recombination. 2 alternatively spliced human isoforms have been reported. WDR33 is widely expressed in the testis, lymph node, and other tissues. Diseases associated with WDR33 include Atrial Septal Defect 6.
