Rabbit anti-Human UQCRQ Polyclonal Antibody | anti-UQCRQ antibody
UQCRQ Polyclonal Antibody
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a ubiquinone-binding protein of low molecular mass. This protein is a small core-associated protein and a subunit of ubiquinol-cytochrome c reductase complex III, which is part of the mitochondrial respiratory chain. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Uniprot Description
UQCRQ: This is a component of the ubiquinol-cytochrome c reductase complex (complex III or cytochrome b-c1 complex), which is part of the mitochondrial respiratory chain. This subunit, together with cytochrome b, binds to ubiquinone. Defects in UQCRQ are a cause of mitochondrial complex III deficiency (MT-C3D). A disorder of the mitochondrial respiratory chain resulting in a highly variable phenotype depending on which tissues are affected. Clinical features include mitochondrial encephalopathy, psychomotor retardation, ataxia, severe failure to thrive, liver dysfunction, renal tubulopathy, muscle weakness and exercise intolerance. Belongs to the UQCRQ/QCR8 family.
Protein type: Energy Metabolism - oxidative phosphorylation; Mitochondrial; Oxidoreductase
Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 5q31.1
Cellular Component: mitochondrial inner membrane; mitochondrial respiratory chain complex III; mitochondrion
Molecular Function: ubiquinol-cytochrome-c reductase activity
Biological Process: mitochondrial electron transport, ubiquinol to cytochrome c
Disease: Mitochondrial Complex Iii Deficiency, Nuclear Type 4

Product Notes
The UQCRQ uqcrq (Catalog #AAA2540956) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The UQCRQ Polyclonal Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's UQCRQ can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). WB: 1:500 - 1:2000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the UQCRQ uqcrq for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "UQCRQ, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
