Related Product Information for anti-UBD antibody
UBD (ubiquitin D) is a protein-coding gene. Diseases associated with UBD include nephrosclerosis, and severe acute respiratory syndrome, and among its related super-pathways are NF-KappaB Family Pathway and MIF Regulation of Innate Immune Cells. GO annotations related to this gene include proteasome binding and protein binding. An important paralog of this gene is ISG15.

Uniprot Description

FAT10: Ubiquitin-like protein modifier which can be covalently attached to target protein and subsequently leads to their degradation by the 26S proteasome, in a NUB1L-dependent manner. Probably functions as a survival factor. Conjugation ability activated by UBA6. Promotes the expression of the proteasome subunit beta type-9 (PSMB9/LMP2). Regulates TNF-alpha-induced and LPS-mediated activation of the central mediator of innate immunity NF-kappa-B by promoting TNF-alpha-mediated proteasomal degradation of ubiquitinated-I-kappa-B-alpha. Required for TNF-alpha-induced p65 nuclear translocation in renal tubular epithelial cells (RTECs). May be involved in dendritic cell (DC) maturation, the process by which immature dendritic cells differentiate into fully competent antigen-presenting cells that initiate T-cell responses. Mediates mitotic non-disjunction and chromosome instability, in long-term in vitro culture and cancers, by abbreviating mitotic phase and impairing the kinetochore localization of MAD2L1 during the prometaphase stage of the cell cycle. May be involved in the formation of aggresomes when proteasome is saturated or impaired. Mediates apoptosis in a caspase-dependent manner, especially in renal epithelium and tubular cells during renal diseases such as polycystic kidney disease and Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)- associated nephropathy (HIVAN).

Protein type: Ubiquitin-like modifier

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 6p21.3

Cellular Component: cytoplasm; nucleus

Molecular Function: protein binding

Biological Process: ubiquitin-dependent protein catabolic process; positive regulation of I-kappaB kinase/NF-kappaB cascade; protein modification by small protein conjugation; positive regulation of apoptosis; protein ubiquitination; myeloid dendritic cell differentiation; proteolysis; response to organic nitrogen

Product Notes

The UBD ubd (Catalog #AAA8542946) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Ubiquitin D Rabbit pAb reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Ubiquitin D can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Immunofluorescence (IF). WB: 1:500-1:1000 IHC: 1:50-1:200 ICC/IF: 1:50-1:200. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the UBD ubd for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Ubiquitin D, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
