Produced in rabbits immunized with E Coli-derived Human TXNDC5 fragment, and purified by antigen affinity chromatography.
Preparation and Storage
This antibody can be stored at 2-8 degree C for one month without detectable loss of activity. Antibody products are stable for twelve months from date of receipt when stored at -20 degree C to -80 degree C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Immunofluorescence (IF)

Cells were fixed with 4% PFA, permeabilzed with 0.1% Triton X-100 in PBS,blocked with 10% serum, and incubated with rabbit anti-Human TXNDC5 polyclonal antibody (dilution ratio 1:200) at 4 degree C overnight. Then cells were stained with the Alexa Fluor594-conjugated Goat Anti-rabbit IgG secondary antibody (red). Positive staining was localized to Cytoplasm.)

The protein encoded by TXNDC5 is a member of the protein disulfide isomerase family, which has disulfide isomerase activity and can act as the molecular chaperone to reduce the synthesis of abnormal proteins. Its biological functions include anti-oxidation, promoting angiogenesis, taking part in cellular inflammation, energy metabolism, etc. The expression of TXNDC5 is increased in many types of tumors including cervical carcinoma, gastric carcinoma and colorectal cancer. The thioredoxin domain-containing 5 (TXNDC5) gene is associated with susceptibility to rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and exhibits increased expression in the synovial tissues. TXNDC5 is also associated strongly with diabetes, a metabolic disease characterized by interrupted insulin signalling.
