Related Product Information for anti-PDHX antibody
PDHX (Pyruvate Dehydrogenase Complex Component X) is a Protein Coding gene. The PDHX gene, located on 11p13, is conserved in chimpanzee, Rhesus monkey, dog, cow, mouse, chicken, zebrafish, and frog. This gene encodes the E3 binding protein subunit; also known as component X of the pyruvate dehydrogenase complex. This protein tethers E3 dimers to the E2 core of the PDH complex. Defects in this gene are a cause of pyruvate dehydrogenase deficiency which results in neurological dysfunction and lactic acidosis in infancy and early childhood. This protein is also a minor antigen for antimitochondrial antibodies. These autoantibodies are present in nearly 95% of patients with the autoimmune liver disease primary biliary cirrhosis (PBC). Among its related pathways are Pyruvate metabolism and Citric Acid (TCA) cycle and Signaling by GPCR.

Product Notes

The PDHX (Catalog #AAA8109545) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-PDHX Antibody, Rabbit Polyclonal reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's PDHX can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry-Paraffin (IHC-P), Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Immunofluorescence (IF), Immunoprecipitation (IP). WB: 1:500-1:2000 IHC-P: 1:50-1:200 ICC/IF: 1:100-1:500 IP: 1-5uL/mg of lysate. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PDHX for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "PDHX, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
