Goat TRPC6 Polyclonal Antibody | anti-TRPC6 antibody
Goat anti-TRPC6 Antibody
Western Blot: Preliminary experiments gave an approx 80kDa band in Human Spleen and Testis lysates after 1ug/ml antibody staining. Please note that currently we cannot find an explanation in the literature for the band we observe given the calculated size of 106kDa according to NP_004612.2. The 80kDa band was successfully blocked by incubation with the immunizing peptide.
Flow cytometry: This antibody has been proven to specifically react to TRPC6 in FC.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
The protein encoded by this gene forms a receptor-activated calcium channel in the cell membrane. The channel is activated by diacylglycerol and is thought to be under the control of a phosphatidylinositol second messenger system. Activation of this channel occurs independently of protein kinase C and is not triggered by low levels of intracellular calcium. Defects in this gene are a cause of focal segmental glomerulosclerosis 2 (FSGS2). [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2009]
Uniprot Description
TRPC6: Thought to form a receptor-activated non-selective calcium permeant cation channel. Probably is operated by a phosphatidylinositol second messenger system activated by receptor tyrosine kinases or G-protein coupled receptors. Activated by diacylglycerol (DAG) in a membrane-delimited fashion, independently of protein kinase C. Seems not to be activated by intracellular calcium store depletion. Interacts with MX1 and RNF24. Expressed primarily in placenta, lung, spleen, ovary and small intestine. Expressed in podocytes and is a component of the glomerular slit diaphragm. Belongs to the transient receptor (TC 1.A.4) family. STrpC subfamily. TRPC6 sub-subfamily. 3 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

The Goat anti-TRPC6 Antibody reacts with Tested: Mouse; Expected from sequence similarity: Human, Dog, Pig, Cow and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's TRPC6 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Peptide ELISA (EIA), Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS). Peptide ELISA: Antibody detection limit dilution 1: 2000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the TRPC6 trpc6 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: EKLSMEPNQE ETN. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "TRPC6, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
