Immunogen
Extracellular domain of glycosylated mouse TrkB protein produced in CHO cells. Cellular localization: Membrane; single-pass type I membrane protein.
Preparation and Storage
Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20 degree C. Reconstitute with sterile buffer or ddH2O. Aliquot and store at -20 degree C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20 degree C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a member of the neurotrophic tyrosine receptor kinase (NTRK) family. This kinase is a membrane-bound receptor that, upon neurotrophin binding, phosphorylates itself and members of the MAPK pathway. Signalling through this kinase leads to cell differentiation. Mutations in this gene have been associated with obesity and mood disorders. Alternate transcriptional splice variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq]
