Western Blot (WB)
(TRIM28 Antibody (N-term) western blot analysis in K562 cell line lysates (35ug/lane).This demonstrates the TRIM28 antibody detected the TRIM28 protein (arrow).)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
(TRIM28 Antibody (N-term) immunohistochemistry analysis in formalin fixed and paraffin embedded human testis tissue followed by peroxidase conjugation of the secondary antibody and DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of TRIM28 Antibody (N-term) for immunohistochemistry. Clinical relevance has not been evaluated.)
Immunofluorescence (IF)
(Fluorescent confocal image of Hela cell stained with TRIM28 Antibody (N-term).Hela cells were fixed with 4% PFA (20 min), permeabilized with Triton X-100 (0.1%, 10 min), then incubated with TRIM28 primary antibody (1:25, 1 h at 37 degree C). For secondary antibody, Alexa Fluor 488 conjugated donkey anti-rabbit antibody (green) was used (1:400, 50 min at 37 degree C).Cytoplasmic actin was counterstained with Alexa Fluor 555 (red) conjugated Phalloidin (7units/ml, 1 h at 37 degree C). Nuclei were counterstained with DAPI (blue) (10 ug/ml, 10 min). TRIM28 immunoreactivity is localized to Nucleus significantly. )
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
The protein encoded by this gene mediates transcriptional control by interaction with the Kruppel-associated box repression domain found in many transcription factors. The protein localizes to the nucleus and is thought to associate with specific chromatin regions. The protein is a member of the tripartite motif family. This tripartite motif includes three zinc-binding domains, a RING, a B-box type 1 and a B-box type 2, and a coiled-coil region. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Uniprot Description
TIF1B: an atypical protein kinase that functions as a transcriptional coactivator. Mediates transcriptional regulation by interaction with the Kruppel-associated box (KRAB) repression domain found in many transcription factors. Binds to the negative regulatory domain of c-Myb and negatively regulates the c-Myb-dependent trans-activation. Localizes to the nucleus and is thought to associate with specific chromatin regions. Phosphorylated in an ATM-dependent manner following double-strand breaks. Its phosphorylation in response to DNA damage leads to chromatin relaxation. A member of the tripartite motif family. The tripartite motif includes three zinc-binding domains, a RING, a B-box type 1 and a B-box type 2, and a coiled-coil region.

Product Notes
The TRIM28 trim28 (Catalog #AAA6358255) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The TRIM28, NT (TRIM28, KAP1, RNF96, TIF1B, Transcription intermediary factor 1-beta, E3 SUMO-protein ligase TRIM28, KRAB-associated protein 1, KRAB-interacting protein 1, Nuclear corepressor KAP-1, RING finger protein 96, Tripartite motif-containing protein reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's TRIM28 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC), ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB). IHC: 1:50-100 ELISA: 1:1,000 WB: 1:100-500 Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the TRIM28 trim28 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "TRIM28, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
