Related Product Information for anti-TRAPPC2 antibody
TRAPPC2 is thought to be part of
a large multi-subunit complex involved in the targeting and fusion
of endoplasmic reticulum-to-Golgi transport vesicles with their
acceptor compartment. In addition, the encoded protein can bind
c-myc promoter-binding protein 1 and block its transcriptional
repression capability. Mutations in this gene are a cause of
spondyloepiphyseal dysplasia tarda (SEDT). A processed pseudogene
of this gene is located on chromosome 19, and other pseudogenes are
found on chromosomes 8 and Y.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is thought to be part of a large multi-subunit complex involved in the targeting and fusion of endoplasmic reticulum-to-Golgi transport vesicles with their acceptor compartment. In addition, the encoded protein can bind c-myc promoter-binding protein 1 and block its transcriptional repression capability. Mutations in this gene are a cause of spondyloepiphyseal dysplasia tarda (SEDT). A processed pseudogene of this gene is located on chromosome 19, and other pseudogenes are found on chromosomes 8 and Y. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found for this gene. Uniprot Description

TRAPPC2: Prevents MBP1-mediated transcriptional repression and antagonizes MBP1-mediated cell death. May play a role in vesicular transport from endoplasmic reticulum to Golgi. Belongs to the TRAPP small subunits family. Sedlin subfamily. Part of the multisubunit TRAPP (transport protein particle) complex. Interacts with MBP1 and TRAPPC2L. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: Xp22

Cellular Component: Golgi apparatus; perinuclear region of cytoplasm; endoplasmic reticulum; nucleus

Molecular Function: protein binding; transcription factor binding

Biological Process: ER to Golgi vesicle-mediated transport; transcription, DNA-dependent; regulation of transcription, DNA-dependent; skeletal development

Disease: Spondyloepiphyseal Dysplasia Tarda, X-linked

Product Notes

The TRAPPC2 trappc2 (Catalog #AAA9207911) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The immunogen sequence is 11-39. The TRAPPC2 Antibody (N-term) reacts with Human (Predicted Reactivity: Bovine, Chicken, Zebrafish, Mouse, Pig) and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's TRAPPC2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), ELISA (EIA). WB~~1:1000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the TRAPPC2 trappc2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "TRAPPC2, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
