NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a protein involved in regulating responses to cytokines by members of the Rel/NF-kappaB transcription factor family. These factors play a central role in innate immunity in response to pathogens, inflammatory signals and stress. This gene product interacts with TRAF proteins (tumor necrosis factor receptor-associated factors) and either I-kappaB kinase or MAP kinase to activate either NF-kappaB or Jun kinase. Several alternative transcripts encoding different isoforms have been identified. Another transcript, which does not encode a protein and is transcribed in the opposite orientation, has been identified. Overexpression of this transcript has been shown to reduce expression of at least one of the protein encoding transcripts, suggesting it has a regulatory role in the expression of this gene. Uniprot Description
TRAF3IP2: Could be involved in the activation of both NF-kappa-B via a NF-kappa-B inhibitor kinase (IKK)-dependent mechanism and stress-activated protein kinase (SAPK)/JNK. Defects in TRAF3IP2 are the cause of susceptibility to psoriasis type 13 (PSORS13). PSORS13 is a common, chronic inflammatory disease of the skin with multifactorial etiology. It is characterized by red, scaly plaques usually found on the scalp, elbows and knees. These lesions are caused by abnormal keratinocyte proliferation and infiltration of inflammatory cells into the dermis and epidermis. 4 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes
The TRAF3IP2 traf3ip2 (Catalog #AAA7124410) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The TRAF3IP2 Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's TRAF3IP2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). ELISA: 1:1000-1:2000 WB: 1:200-1:1000 IHC: 1:25-1:100. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the TRAF3IP2 traf3ip2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "TRAF3IP2, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
