Related Product Information for anti-TMPRSS9 antibody
Serase-1 and serase-2 are serine proteases that hydrolyze the peptides N-t-Boc-Gln-Ala-Arg-AMC and N-t-Boc-Gln-Gly-Arg-AMC. In contrast, N-t-Boc-Ala-Phe-Lys-AMC and N-t-Boc-Ala-Pro-Ala-AMC are not significantly hydrolyzed.

Uniprot Description

Function: Serase-1 and serase-2 are serine proteases that hydrolyze the peptides N-t-Boc-Gln-Ala-Arg-AMC and N-t-Boc-Gln-Gly-Arg-AMC. In contrast, N-t-Boc-Ala-Phe-Lys-AMC and N-t-Boc-Ala-Pro-Ala-AMC are not significantly hydrolyzed.

Enzyme regulation: Inhibited by serine protease inhibitors PMSF and 4-(2-aminoethyl)benzenesulfonyl fluoride, but not by EDTA. Ref.1

Subcellular location: Cell membrane; Single-pass type II membrane protein Ref.1.

Tissue specificity: Expressed in fetal human tissues, such as kidney, liver, lung and brain, and in a variety of tumor cell lines. Weakly expressed in adult tissues including skeletal muscle, liver, placenta and heart. Ref.1

Domain: The serine protease 1 and 2 domains are catalytically active, whereas the serine protease 3 domain lacks the essential Ser residue of the catalytic triad at position 1009 and is predicted to be inactive.

Post-translational modification: Proteolytically cleaved to generate 3 independent serine protease chains. The cleaved chains may remain attached to the membrane thanks to disufide bonds. It is unclear whether cleavage always takes place. Ref.1

Sequence similarities: Belongs to the peptidase S1 family.Contains 1 LDL-receptor class A domain.Contains 3 peptidase S1 domains.

Sequence caution: The sequence BAD18439.1 differs from that shown. Reason: Frameshift at position 776. The sequence CAD35759.1 differs from that shown. Reason: Aberrant splicing.

Product Notes

The TMPRSS9 tmprss9 (Catalog #AAA6356771) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The TMPRSS9, NT (TMPRSS9, Transmembrane protease serine 9, Polyserase-I, Polyserine protease 1, Serase-1, Serase-2, Serase-3) (FITC) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's TMPRSS9 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), FLISA. WB: 1:100-500 FLISA: 1:1,000 Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the TMPRSS9 tmprss9 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "TMPRSS9, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
